Christmas came early for royal fans last night, thanks to a member of the Royal Air Force who shared a small glimpse of the annual Christmas card from Kensington Palace.

Taking to Twitter to express her gratitude for the seasonal greeting from Kate Middleton, Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty shared a photo of the never-before-seen card, writing, "A Christmas card from our Royal Patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, which I share with all members of the @aircadets."

"We send HRH and her family all best wishes for Christmas and hope to see her again in 2020."

All five members of the Cambridge family can be seen smiling on the card's photo, with little Prince Louis looking especially adorable sitting on Prince William's lap. Meanwhile, Kate looks as elegant as ever in a blue printed wrap dress with her hand on William's shoulder.

Inside, the message from the royals reads: "Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and New Year," with a personal send-off from the Duchess.

Wholesomely sweet and simple.
