Today, on what would have been her 86th birthday, the internet celebrates iconic Egyptian signer Dalida. Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti is being remembered by Google Doodle with a GIF of her 14 most iconic looks.

“Today's Doodle celebrates Dalida, a French singer and actress, whose aching voice and real-life heartaches earned her a cult following worldwide,” the search engine writes. “When Egyptian-born singer #Dalida recorded "Bambino" she kicked off a thirty-year career that touched listeners all over the planet.”

Fellow Egyptian signer Elissa also took to Twitter to pay subtle tribute to the songstress’ hit Balmy Breeze. “Egypt by night is all about magic!” she writes. “A few rythms of Oum Koulthoum with a sweet Dalida breeze! Isn’t this all you need?”

Dalida took home the title of Miss Egypt at the annual beauty contest in 1954, before beginning a 31-year singing career in 1956, selling 140 million albums and singles worldwide. She tragically passed away in 1987.

In 2017, Dalida, a posthumous biopic of the eponymous Egypt-born singing sensation was released in cinemas. Italian actress Sveva Alviti played the Bambino signer, which depicted Dalida’s unspeakable sadness, with her sensitivity to light at birth leading up to phobia of sleeping in the dark as she reaches adulthood and embarks on a quest for love.
