The actress takes a stand against social media stars promoting unhealthy products to young women

Sophie Turner is not a fan of Instagram influencers who push dieting products on their young fans.

In an insightful Instagram Story, Turner joked that she was wearing her “influencer look” as she used a filter on her video. She then proceeded to parody the celebrities who post adverts promoting weight loss products on social media and who encourage young women to buy them.

Turner said, “Hey, guys, just kind of going for my influencer look today.” She continued, “Today I just wanted to promote this new powdered stuff that you put in your tea […] and is totally, really, really bad for me to be promoting to young women and young people everywhere. But I don’t really [care], because I’m getting paid money. Influencer life!”

Clearly, Turner is not here for influencers who use their power to promote unhealthy products to young women, and she’s not afraid to use her platform to speak out about the issue.

Actress Jameela Jamil recently took Khloé Kardashian to task on social media for promoting Flat Tummy meal replacement shakes to her young fans and encouraged the reality star to “be smarter.”
