In town to celebrate her latest campaign with inclusive clothing brand 11 Honre, BAZAAR caught up with model and activist Candice Huffine to talk about body positivity, that time she learned Arabic, favourite emojis and shaping the future of the fashion industry.
“I got into modelling because there was no plan B. It was my childhood dream – the biggest I ever had,” she tells us. “Something that I didn’t expect to come with it was to become a role model as well. I’m so grateful to be considered as one. It’s the cherry on top of a job that’s already my dream come true.”
“Body positivity is real life. This is the world we live in; women are all different shapes, sizes, race, age backgrounds. This is the body that we’ve been given and we should cherish it and normalising this conversation is exactly what we should be doing to create change,” she adds.
