Founded in Valenza in 1924, Damiani has opened its newly decorated boutique in The Dubai Mall that will showcase some of its most beautiful creations. Today the brand is managed by the third generation of the family, with Chairman Guido Damiani in attendance at the event that saw HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum cut the ribbon of the new store.

Highlights of the collections on display included the colourful D.Icon collection, which serves as a popular entry point to the Damiani brand with fun enameled jewels embellished with diamonds and 18-karat gold detail. Also on view were stunning pieces from the Damiani Bridal collection, with engagement rings featuring the jeweller’s signature “Minou” setting.
Damiani prides itself on only selling ethically sourced diamonds from its strictly selected suppliers, which are then each engraved with the Damiani signature and unique certification number on their girdles.

Speaking exclusively to Bazaar at the event, Guido Damiani – who spends part of the year with his family at his Dubai home – says of the boutique’s opening, “This was the next natural step for us. Damiani already has a strong customer base from the region who visit our stores in Paris, London and Milan, but we wanted to come here directly. The Dubai Mall is the most important shopping centre in the world, and I obviously have a strong personal connection to the city as well.”

Guido continues, “The brand appeals to sophisticated buyers who want to develop their collections, and so we cover all entry points – from the D.Icon collection right up to the very important high jewellery pieces.”
