It’s no secret that Victoria Beckham is a huge fan of Augustinus Bader products, having publicly endorsed the face and body creams numerous times. So it makes sense that her beauty brand’s first foray into skincare should come in partnership with Professor Bader himself.
"From Victoria's perspective, when we started talking about skincare, it was really the only option," the co-founder of Victoria Beckham Beauty, Sarah Creal, tells Bazaar. "She and I both had been using Augustinus Bader The Cream and The Rich Cream and she had said to me early on when we talked about the brand, 'when we launch skincare I just want to make sure that it's the most active thing out there'."

I am so excited to finally announce my collaboration with Professor @augustinusbader. I have been working on this for a long long time and it has been a dream to develop, with Augustinus, a priming moisturizer that works to improve the health of my skin and gives that fresh, natural glow that I love. Launching this Tuesday 19th November @victoriabeckhambeauty. Read all about it in @theststyle #VictoriaBeckhamBeauty #VBGlow #CleanBeauty x Kisses VB
The scientist himself was happy to oblige. "The beautiful thing about working with Victoria Beckham is that she can pick up the phone and call people, and they'll answer, so she called Professor Bader and that's how it all started," Creal recalls.
The result is the Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer by Victoria Beckham Beauty (launching tomorrow), which combines the groundbreaking 'TFC8 technology' that Augustinus Bader products are known for, in a glow-giving formula that acts as an ideal base for make-up.
Creal explains that it "answers Victoria's quest for instant glowing, perfected skin," while Bader's signature science works to stimulate the skin’s own repair and renewal systems. "That's what this is: a hybrid product," she says.
While Creal kept schtum about future skincare launches from Victoria Beckham Beauty, the brand has said this is "the first skincare product in her eponymous digital clean beauty brand" - suggesting there's more to come.
Here's hoping the two brands partner on a body cream, next. Back in August when Beckham was asked "favourite skincare product" she replied, "Obsessed with this new @augustinusbader body cream," before sharing a video of how she uses it. "Mixing with organic coconut oil for extra moisturising," she demonstrated from her summer holiday. Perhaps that's a clue to a future formula?
