Dalal Abdel Aziz’s Son-In-Law Confirms COVID-19 Related Complications Was Cause of Death
The actress died on Saturday, August 7 at the age of 61, after weeks of battling complications caused by the virus…
Wife of renowned Egyptian comedian, Samir Ghanem and mother to actresses, Donia and Amy Ghanem, Dalal was 61 years old when she passed away. The actress had been battling the virus for several months.
Dalal’s passing follows the death of her husband who died at the age of 84 in May, also from COVID-19 complications. The couple both tested positive for the virus last April.
Dalal’s son-in-law, TV host Ramy Radwan, who is married to her daughter Donia announced the star’s passing in a Facebook post and confirmed it was due to COVID-19 related complications.
“The kindest and sweetest heart in the world, my beloved, the star Dalal Abdel-Aziz. She didn’t want to leave her loved one alone and went to heaven for him. Please pray for them,” he writes.
In a separate post where he describes both Dalal and Samir, he adds, “I don’t know how the world will work without you both, your sweetness, and your kind souls.”
Dalal’s second son-in-law, Hassan El Raddad also announced her death on Facebook. “I have never seen anything from you except goodness,” he writes.
With an acting career that began in the 1900s, the Egyptian actress has performed in countless films, series, and plays, including Ahlan Ya Doctor, Valentino, and Demou Sahibat El-Galalah, attracting audiences from across the globe.
While she will certainly be missed, her legacy will live on.
