The UAE Will Provide Full Scholarships To Frontline Healthcare Workers’ Children
Doctors, nurses and other frontline care workers can now apply for the ‘Hayyakum’ initiative, which will provide their little ones with paid public-school fees until they graduate high school
The UAE has launched an outstanding initiative to show gratitude and support to all the frontline workers that continue to put their lives on the line to help others during this pandemic.
According to Gulf News, the UAE has unveiled a new initiative in support of COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers by providing full scholarships for their children to attend public schools until their graduation.
The ‘Hayyakum’ initiative comes as a result of a partnership between the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Frontline Heroes Office. In a generous attempt to show gratitude to the heroes of this pandemic, by alleviating potential financial stresses and providing their children with access to quality education, the Ministry of Education has announced it will cover the school fees of children — no matter the occupation of the care worker.
From doctors and nurses to hospital cleaners, all will be eligible for the grant which aims to cover the cost of tuition, laptops and transport until the child’s high school graduation.
The deadline for submission is September 30.
