Kate Middleton Just Borrowed Queen Elizabeth’s Jewellery
The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing two different pairs of jewels from the Queen this past weekend
Having the Queen of England as your mother-in-law must have its perks – and evidently, it appears to include having access to her stunning jewellery collection.
Kate Middleton joined other members of the royal family this past weekend to honour Remembrance Sunday, the yearly service held in London where crowds gather to observe a one minute silence in honour of those who lost their lives during the First World War.
The Duchess of Cambridge attended both the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday night and the Remembrance Service on Sunday morning. On both occasions, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for elegant and simple all-black outfits, accessorising with two different pairs of beautiful pearl earrings.
Twitter user @cambridgesfan observed that Kate’s stunning accessories were in fact borrowed from Queen Elizabeth. For her appearance at the Royal Albert Hall, the Duchess wore the Queen’s pearl and diamond studs, while the following morning she opted for Queen Elizabeth’s Bahrain pearl drop earrings.

This isn’t the first time Kate has been spotted wearing the Queen’s Bahrain pearls, however. Per the curator website, Her Majesty’s Jewel Vault, the Duchess has borrowed the stunning pair of precious jewels for previous Remembrance Sunday services, and, more recently, during an appearance at the Trooping of Colour parade in June earlier this year.
