Aside from being the symbolic head of an entire country, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II might also be able to teach us a thing or two about everyday glam.

The Queen's official dressmaker, Angela Kelly, has recently released a brand new bookThe Other Side Of The Coin: The Queen, The Dresser And The Wardrobe, where she reveals some of the monarch's most extravagant style secrets, including how Her Majesty hires staff to wear in her shoes for her.

Now, Kelly has also revealed that the Queen also does her own make-up every single day apart from one occasion: when she records her annual Christmas speech on TV.

Per reports by People, Kelly revealed in her book that she hires make-up artist Marilyn Widdess to do the monarch's make-up prior to filming the annual speech, which is broadcast live across the UK on Christmas Day.

"You might be surprised to know that this is the only occasion throughout the year when Her Majesty does not do her own makeup," Kelly wrote.
