The move further cements the Duke and Duchess’ decision to “step back” as senior members of the royal family
It may have just been a few days since the Sussex royals shocked the world with their announcement of ‘stepping back’ from their roles as senior members of the royal family, but it seems that Meghan Markle is officially pursuing new opportunities that further cement the Sussexes’ decision.
Sources confirm that Meghan has just inked a commercial voiceover deal with Disney to raise funds for Elephants Without Borders, a charitable organization that works to prevent the poaching of elephants in Botswana. Although all proceed from the initiative will be donated to Elephants Without Borders, the news of a deal, signed so swiftly after the unprecedented “stepping down” announcement has lead to widespread speculation as to whether this might be a hint at how the Sussexes are planning on becoming “financially independent” from the crown.
