We might have casually claimed Meghan Markle as one of the world's best dressed women once or twice, but now there might actually be statistics to prove it. According to global search trends and data analysed by Lyst, a global fasion search engine, the Duchess of Sussex is ranked as the Most Powerful Dresser in the world.
When dissecting the fashion data for 2019, the search engine ultimately found that Meghan had, by far, the biggest influence when it came to fashion-related searches, product sales, news coverage and social media mentions.
The fact sheet also highlighted the Duchess' profound influence in driving online traffic.
"After she wore five different shirt dresses on the Royal Tour of South Africa, searches for the category grew 45% over a month," Lyst continued. "The Club Monaco dress sold out in less than 24 hours, following a 570% spike in searches and wearing a J Crew skirt saw a 102% increase in searches for the brand."
