Who Is Liam Hemsworth’s Rumoured New Beau, Maddison Brown?

We’re still not entirely sure if we’re completely over Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s split, but it would appear that the former couple may have already found love elsewhere. While Miley has made it pretty clear that she’s happily moved on with Cody Simpson, Liam might also have a rumoured new beau in his life.
In mid-October, the Australian actor was spotted holding hands and having lunch with a “mystery woman” in New York City, according to a series of photos published by TMZ. The stunning stranger has since been identified as fellow Australian actor Maddison Brown, per Us Weekly, who also reported last week that Liam “hasn’t been dating anyone [but is] open to meeting people.” Both Liam and Maddison are yet to comment publically on their official relationship status.
So, who is Maddison Brown, and what do we know about her and Liam so far?
She’s an actress on Dynasty
The 22-year old actress plays Kirby Anders on CW’s reboot of Dynasty, whose character is the daughter of the Carrington family’s butler, Joseph Anders.
While speaking to Vogue Australia in 2018, Brown gushed about her fellow cast members explaining, “It’s a job that I love and that I’m passionate about, but also that you get to work with people that you genuinely get along with, we socialize outside of the show, we love to spend time together.”
“I feel really very fortunate to be on a show like that where everyone is wanting to be friends with each other and wanting to make connections.”
She’s protective about her private life
In an interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph, Brown was indeed asked about her suspected romance with Hemsworth, but the young actress refused to comment. Swiftly shutting down the attempt to pry into her private life, Brown answered, “I’m not answering that question. My rule is not talking about my personal life,” per reports by ELLE.
She’s modelled for Miu Miu, Clavun Klein and Jason Wu
Brown may now be enjoying the tremendous success of a flourishing acting career, but the modelling industry is where she initially made her big break. The former model famously appeared in Miu Miu’s A/W15 campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, who Brown described working with was “one of my ultimate career goals,” per WWD. Brown has also graced the runway for the likes of Calvin Klein, Jason Wu and Phillip Lim.
She made her first film debut alongside Nicole Kidman
The young actress scored her first big role on the silver screen in 2015, where she starred alongside Nicole Kidman in Strangerland as her onscreen daughter. Speaking highly of her co-star at the time, Brown told WWD, “Nicole is someone who wants to nurture and support young actors and it was such a relief to be able to connect with her in a real way.”
“I was sort of at a crossroads: I wanted to pursue acting 100 percent but still felt ties to the modelling industry. I still do,” she continued. “So she [Nicole] said to me, ‘You should keep doing this. You’re good at it.’ Which was, obviously, really encouraging.”
