Weekend feasting just got a whole lot better!
Al Barari has plenty for it already, and with the recent addition of Lowe, a funky café with a distinctly Aussie vibe, there is even more reason to make it our weekend breakfast destination of choice.
This cool all-day-dining venue has only been open a couple of months but has already made an impression with Dubai’s foodies – evident by the lack of free tables as we arrive for a late breakfast.
Decisions aren’t easy, every dish on the extensive breakfast menu sounds delicious, which on the flip side means even the fussiest eaters will find it hard not to pick something they like. There are healthy options like the honey granola with vanilla labne and berries, coconut chia with tropical fruit and prawn omelette, but equally, there is plenty for those not counting the calories, from a buckwheat waffle with whipped custard to the eatery’s signature molten cheese and vegemite toast with beefsteak tomato and zuni pickle.
It’s not just the food that’s done to perfection, the restaurant serves up the best flat whites this side of Melbourne that we’ve come across.
Cool interiors see concrete walls and floors create the backdrop for light wooden accents and splashes of steel. Kids are also well looked after and encouraged to release their artistic flair inside with colouring pencils as well as outside on the terrace with street chalk provided by the very friendly staff.
And be sure to check out the enormous photography book outside the bathroom that showcases casual snaps of Hollywood megastars posing on various film sets.
