The super chic Penrose Lounge at Four Seasons DIFC plays host to Charlotte Tilbury’s first-ever afternoon tea with stunning views of the Burj Khalifa, a cosy and dreamy ambience that is certain to ensure a fabulous time to be had with your friends. Given that this luxe affair combined a few of our favourite things (tea and Tilbury-inspired treats) this was one meal we simply had to experience for ourselves.
The staff were charming and ensured that we had the most joyous time possible. From offering pashminas to warm us from Dubai’s ‘cold’ weather to checking up on us, we were blown away by the service.
To begin, an ever-so-cute teapot is delivered to your table with your favourite choice of tea and a selection of scrumptious scones accompanied by indulgent clotted cream and jam to sweeten your palate. As the afternoons goes on, a selection of savoury and sweet delights are brought out to your table, along with an impossibly cute edible selection of Charlotte Tilbury’s most-loved makeup products.
Freshen up with a refreshing za’atar, cucumber and tomato sandwich, or perhaps delve into luxury with the caviar eclairs followed by tantalising golden honey and date macarons and make-up parfaits. Make sure to save room for the white chocolate pearls from the “Cheek to Chic” blush pallette and edible rosy Pillow Talk lipstick. Hint: Don’t forget to rouge your lips for a selfie then devour the lipstick of sweetness.
