This year, 84 contestants from around the globe will complete for the crown in the 73rd annual Miss Universe pageant, a prestigious competition that has previously crowned notable winners like Olivia Culpo in 2012.
Olivia will make an appearance at this year’s pageant as one of the hosts of the event. Other key figures include Harnaaz Sandhu, the reigning Miss Universe 2021, and the current titleholder, R’Bonney Gabriel. The event promises to be unforgettable, featuring a performance by John Legend and more.
When is Miss Universe 2023?
This year marks the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in El Salvador on Saturday November 18, 2023. The competition is a two-week process that typically takes place between November and January. The 2022 pageant, which was originally planned to be hosted in New Orleans, USA, was postponed to January of this year in order to avoid viewing conflicts with the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar from late November to mid-December 2022.

What Are The Categories?
During the preliminary round, on 15th November, the 84 candidates was reduced to 20 candidates who were selected based on their performance and fan registered votes. These contestants progressed onto the evening gown and swimsuit rounds before the judges, where the top 20 candidates were whittled down to 10 and then to 5 during the respective rounds. The semifinalists will proceed into the interview round where scores are determined and the 3 finalists who will compete for the crown on Saturday.

The event will be streamed live on Telemundo International that you will able to access through the Roku Channel and App in the UAE, KSA and wider GCC.
What Time Does Miss Universe 2023 Start in The GCC?
The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 18 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST), which is 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM Gulf Standard Time (GST) on Sunday, November 19th.
Who Are The Regional Miss Universe 2023 Competitors?
Three Arab women; Maya Aboul Hosn from Lebanon, Mohra Tantawy from Egypt, and Lujane Yacoub from Bahrain, will represent the Middle East in this years pageant.

Voting is currently available through the Miss Universe app, allowing fans to select their preferred contestants. Meaning that you will be able to show support for the regional participants to secure their place in the semi-finals.
