Who Is Jane Garrett, Miss Universe Nepal 2023?
In November, El Salvador played host to a dazzling spectacle as models from 84 nations across the globe gathered to compete for the coveted title of Miss Universe 2023. This year, 84 contestants from around the globe will complete for the crown in the 73rd annual Miss Universe pageant, a prestigious competition that has previously crowned notable winners like Olivia Culpo in 2012.
Miss Universe Nepal, Jane Garrett, has undoubtedly become a crowd favourite at the 72nd annual Miss Universe Pageant in El Salvador. At just 22 years old, Jane is representing Nepal and challenging stereotypes in the world’s most renowned beauty contest.

Jane Garrett is the first plus-sized delegate in the pageant
Her participation in Miss Universe not only celebrates diversity but also advocates for body positivity.
Jane emerges as a prominent figure in the body-positive movement, actively defying expectations within beauty pageants. Her belief that all beauty, regardless of size, deserves representation and celebration within the fashion and beauty industries has been a consistent theme throughout her tenure as Miss Nepal.
Jane is a nursing student
Jane Garrett triumphed over 20 other contestants for the title of Miss Universe Nepal. Her charm and advocacy for Hormonal Health/PCOS awareness, Mental Health, and Body Positivity demonstrated her commitment to holistic well-being beyond conventional beauty standards and aligned her with her title. As a nursing student from Kathmandu, she openly discusses her struggles with weight gain and her subsequent PCOS diagnosis, staying confident despite these challenges.
She has emerged as a fan favourite
From her introduction in the preliminaries, Jane has been all over social media as the public supports her and her journey through the pageant.
Miss Nepal stunned during the swimsuit category, solidifying herself as a fan favourite. She walked down the catwalk in a metallic one-piece halterneck swimsuit with ruching around the waist to accentuate her figure.
Voting is currently available through the Miss Universe app, allowing fans to select their preferred contestants. Meaning that you will be able to show support for your favourite participants to secure their place in the semi-finals.
