Princess Rajwa’s Baby Bump Steals the Show at Jordan’s Silver Jubilee

The Jordanian royal stunned in a red gown by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi…

Jordan’s Silver Jubilee celebration was a sight to behold for sure, but it was Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein who truly stole the show. The radiant princess, who is expecting her first child with Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah, made a stunning appearance in a red, hand-embroidered gown by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi.

For those who’ve been following Princess Rajwa’s fashion journey, this choice was a delightful nod to her pre-wedding henna celebrations, where she also donned a gorgeous creation by Honayda. The gown, a masterpiece of hand-embroidered detail, was crafted by Jordanian artisans over 950 hours, incorporating traditional techniques and the colors of the Jordanian flag. The House of Honayda expressed their pride in contributing to this historic occasion, celebrating the heritage and future of the Hashemite Kingdom.

Just last week, the royal couple released their first official maternity photos, perfectly timed with their first wedding anniversary. Dressed in a bright red Alice + Olivia pleated midi Vernia dress, Her Royal Highness looked absolutely radiant as she posed with her hands under her growing belly.

The Silver Jubilee, marking King Abdullah’s 25 years on the throne, was attended by around 9,000 guests, including the royal family, senior officials, and diplomats. King Abdullah’s speech during the celebration was as inspiring as always, highlighting Jordan’s resilience and achievements over the past quarter-century. “I am proud to be Jordanian; for Jordan is achievement during the harshest of circumstances, perseverance during the most difficult of times, and standing firm by what is right during the toughest of situations,” His Majesty stated, speaking of unity, strength, and the spirit of the Jordanian people.

Queen Rania, always the picture of ]grace and elegance, also stunned in a jaw-dropping gown by Laith Maalouf. Rich with symbolism, the buttons represented Jordan’s 7-pointed star, the bustier symbolised protection and strength, and the pleated skirt featured hand-embroidered spikes of wheat, nodding to Jordan’s agricultural heritage. This stunning creation took around 200 hours of meticulous work from skilled couturiers. It’s safe to say that Queen Rania’s gown was a showstopper in its own right.
