His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar has confirmed he will soon be getting married. The Qatari royal confirmed the news while attending a local wedding yesterday — with the nuptials set to take place in just a few days.
His Excellency will wed Sheikha Fatima bint Nasser bin Hassan Al Thani in what is expected to be a grand ceremony and reception in Doha, Qatar. While few facts about the nuptials have been released, we share everything we know about the upcoming Qatari royal wedding here.

Who is Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani?
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa, also referred to under his nickname as KHK on Instagram, is the is the current Qatari Minister of the Interior and youngest son of His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.
The 32-year-old royal grew up in Doha where he received his early education before leaving for the US to pursue further studies. His Excellency graduated with a Public Policy degree in 2015, from the University of Southern California in the US. He also obtained a master’s degree in Public Diplomacy from the same university in 2017. He is the youngest royal ever to hold the position of Minister of Interior.
In his down time His Excellency enjoys fishing and skiing. Though he keeps a relatively low profile online, he is active on Instagram (@KHK) and occasionally shares a glimpse into his life with his 1.1 millon followers.
When will Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani take place?
The nuptials are set to span across two days, December 6 and 7, and will take place in Doha, at Al Wajba Palace. The first day of wedding celebrations will unfold with the groom’s mother Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser hosting a lavish banquet in honour of the couple. The celebrations will continue on December 7 with the men’s wedding ceremony.
Who is Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad’s fiancée?
Sheikha Fatima bint Nasser bin Hassan Al Thani keeps a relatively low profile and chooses to stay out of the spotlight. However, we do know that is has been reported that she is the daughter of Sheikh Nasser bin Hassan Al Thani, who was the team manager of Al-Wakrah Football Club.

Although the exact attendees of the royal ceremony have not yet been confirmed, numerous public figures from all over the world are expected to attend including regional royals and international dignitaries.
