Queen Rania Hosts A Lunch Event With Women From Al Zarqa
The monarch invited inspiring women from different sectors to celebrate their efforts
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan joined several women at a social lunch in Al Zarqa, the capital city of the Zarqa Governate of Jordan. She hosted the gathering to welcome prominent local females to celebrate their efforts towards bettering the community. She was welcomed by the Governor of Al Zarqa, Hasan Jbour, and the Vice-President of Hashemite University, Sultan Maani.
The lunch, which took place yesterday at the Hashemite University campus, saw trailblazing women from a variety of fields coming together to validate the work that each of them have been doing so far. The guests included workers from the educational, social welfare and youth-related sectors, with many working in educational institutions and volunteering.
Her Majesty looked as elegant and beautiful as always in an ethnic Jordanian maxi in black featuring embroidery and prints in shades of gold and ivory. The big bell sleeves and the traditional designs are a specialty of the Jordan’s cultural fashion. Her Majesty swept her hair into a low bun, and accessorised with green and ivory drop earrings and kept her make-up fresh and natural.
Her Majesty is not one to shy away from speaking up for female empowerment and the upliftment of women in the society. She continues to work towards that goal, supporting several foundations and initiatives that are active in this field.
