The centre was adorned with the Emirati flag, creating a festive atmosphere in every corner. Upon her arrival, Her Highness received a warm welcome with the enchanting Al-Ayyala dance troupes, followed by a guided tour of the outdoor foyer, where stalls displayed various items including traditional clothing and items.

Finally, HH Sheikha Mahra witnessed a special showcase put on by the children featuring Emirati song and dance.

According to a report by The National, the children performed HH Sheikh Mohammed’s “O My Country, Be in Peace” and HH Sheikh Hamdan’s “The Pride of the Generations.”

Her Highness donned a bright jalabiya, reminiscent of the red hues in the UAE flag, adorned with an embellished border, which added an extra layer of elegance to her ensemble.

Sheikha Mahra had previously visited the Rashid Centre last month, engaging in activities such as playing musical instruments and participating in art sessions with the children.

Established in 1994 the Rashid Centre provides specialised education, therapy and social engagement services for children with special needs. The Centre often welcomes high-profile guests and visitors including Egyptian film producer Hesham Soliman and Kuwaiti-Palestinian actor Rawan bin Hussain.
