Dolce & Gabbana’s China Show Has Been Cancelled, And The Internet Has A Lot To Say About It
What was supposed to be the biggest fashion show in Dolce & Gabbana’s 33-year history has been cancelled and the internet reacted in a big way
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24-hours, you will have undoubtedly come across the latest scandal involving Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana.
The designer duo caused outrage when they shared a video created to promote an upcoming show in China, which depicted an Asian woman eating a bowl of pasta with chopsticks. Fans, followers and social media onlookers were quick to label the video as racist.
Welcome to episode 3 with Dolce&Gabbana’s “eating with chopsticks”. We will be tackling the Italian Spaghetti al pomodoro! Now even though you think they may be similar to Chinese noodles, there is a GREAT difference in the way you eat them.#DGLovesChina#DGTheGreatShow pic.twitter.com/etzd3b31xe

Never one to keep his opinions to himself – lest we forget the designer clapping back at the controversy surrounding their “#Boycott Dolce & Gabbana” t-shirts to mock Melania Trump, their hotly-debated sneakers marked with messages like, “I am thin and gorgeous”, and the blazing social media blow-out with Miley Cyrus back in June 2017 – Stefano Gabbana was quick to call out his critics, slamming China in the process.
But hot on the heels of Stefano’s Instagram outbreak was Diet Prada, the no-mercy Instagram account that calls out injustices in the fashion industry, who shared screenshots of the Italian designer’s controversial DMs.
News spread within hours, the Dolce & Gabbana team quickly sharing an announcement on social media saying both the brand’s and Stefano’s personal account were hacked and, naturally, the internet has a lot to say about it whether or not that’s true.
Who’s gonna check with instagram whether they got hacked or not?

lol @ Dolce & Gabbana for the classic “we accidentally made some racist content but instead of apologising for it and taking responsibility we're just gonna say our account was hacked!” pic.twitter.com/SNJdtdF972

What’s your verdict? Do you think Stefano’s account was hacked?
