The Advisory Board and Jury Members will announce the winners on November 3 at the National Museum of Qatar, under the patronage and presence of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nassar

Fashion Trust Arabia‘s annual awards are back with another edition that will showcase the best in regional creativity and style across a variety of categories, shining the spotlight on up-and-coming Arab talent – and that’s not all.

The 2021 ceremony will also include a new title, called the Guest Country Award, in honour of the First Lady of Colombia, Maria Juliana Ruiz, in partnership with InexModa and ProColombia. This new award will focus on shedding light on the strongest emerging Colombian designer, an opportunity for creatives to gain recognition for their outstanding work.

Launched in 2018, the Qatar-based non-profit organisation highlights various regional innovations, talents, trends and more, a platform first of its kind in the Arab world.

This year FTA has received over seven hundred applications, from which twenty-four finalists have been shortlisted including industry specialists like Alex Fury, Alastair McKimm, Afef Jnifen, Alexia Niedzielski, Carmen Busquets, Elizabeth von der Goltz, Fabio Piras, Hamish Bowles, Ib Kamara, Jefferson Hack, Johanna Ortiz, Law Roach, Mohieb Dahabieh, Nina Garcia, Roger Moukarzel, Patti Wilson, Saif Mahdhi, Sara Sozzani Maino, Sofia Guellaty, and Sarah Andelman.

This year’s judging committee include A-listers from the industry like Alexa Chung, Elie Saab, Natalia Vodianova, Virgil Abloh, Olivier Rousteing, and others, making this an event like no other.
