These Are The Winners From Saudi Arabia’s Inaugural Fashion Awards
Just off the back of Red Sea Fashion Week, the sartorial event marked another first in the Kingdom’s fashion industry
In another step to develop Saudi Arabia as a global fashion hub, the Kingdom hosted its inaugural Fashion Awards on June 6, honouring the invaluable talents that have shaped the country’s flourishing fashion landscape.
Presented by Chalhoub, and in partnership with the Saudi Fashion Commission, the event recognised the exceptional achievements in design, innovation, craftsmanship, and more, celebrating outstanding brands and individuals in a glittering ceremony at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh.
“We are thrilled to witness the burgeoning fashion industry in Saudi Arabia gaining global recognition,” said Burak Çakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, ahead of the event.
“This event marks a significant milestone for Saudi fashion, spotlighting the creativity and innovation flourishing within our community,” he added.
The Fashion Awards will featured a packed itinerary of glamorous highlights, including a star-studded red carpet reception attended by celebrities and industry icons, along with an indulgent fine dining experience, where guests were taken on a culinary journey mirroring the sophistication and opulence of the evening.
Guests also engaged in exclusive networking opportunities, and immersed themselves in riveting displays that showcased the diversity, creativity, and rich cultural heritage of the region.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Burak told Vision Vol 2, a fashion publication produced by the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia, “The launch of the inaugural Fashion Awards in Saudi Arabia is a key factor in building healthy competition across brands, but also creating an industry moment for the country. Fashion awards are a way to recognise the highest achievers in each category, document all the key achievements in a fresh format, and start a tradition where, in 50 years, hopefully designers and brands will look back and see how far they’ve come.”
