Chanel's renowned art exhibition, Mademoiselle Privé, has been globetrotting since 2015, celebrating the three creative worlds that complete the Parisian fashion house - Haute Couture, high jewellery, and fragrance. For its fifth year, the exhibition will be held in Tokyo at the B&C Hall in Tennoz, Shinagawa, from 19 October to 1 December 2019. This year, Mademoiselle Privé is set to showcase key moments from the entire history of Chanel, ranging from the beginnings of Gabrielle Chanel's creative vision to the legacy of the late Karl Lagerfeld.
In an exclusive new video, brand ambassador Pharrell Williams stepped inside Gabrielle Chanel's apartment at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris, revealing his impressions about the very intimate and special space. "I love this quotation by Coco Chanel, which is: 'in order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different,'" he muses.
"We have to embrace our individuality. That's what she did. She embraced the way that she thought."
Williams will be present in Tokyo for the launch event on 17 October.
