Dior To Virtually Showcase Its Cruise 2021 Collection In Puglia
This audience-free show will be held behind closed doors next month, inside one of Italy’s most picturesque squares
As fashion houses around the world continue to adapt to a new reality without fashion weeks and notable industry events, Dior has come up with a creative solution when it comes to showcasing its latest Cruise 2021 collection on July 22.
The French fashion maison will digitally present the new collection by livestreaming the show behind the closed doors of Piazza del Duomo in Lecce, Puglia while also incorporating other artistic elements and craftsmanship into the presentation – from the passion of dance and the power of ritual music, to the art of weaving and luminarie.

July 2020 also marks an important moment Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Dior women’s collections, as she celebrates her 4-year tenure with the house, thus infusing elements of a land that has long held a deep importance to her within the showcase.
As Italy has been deeply affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic it was even more essential for Dior to continue collaborations between Paris and Lecce, in order to support and promote the virtuosity of the local artisans and artists.
