Whenever Kim Kardashian West and Bella Hadid wear a trend, it’s not long before the rest of the world catches on—and this season, leather (or latex) pants are the trend du jour.
After variants of the leather pants showed at recent Celine and Bottega Veneta shows, leather trousers have become one of 2019’s most sought-after trends, not to mention a celebrity must-have.
Despite black being the most common colour, leather pants look just as good in unconventional colour hues. Kendall Jenner is a known fan of tan leather pants, while Zendaya recently championed billowy burgundy leather trousers during an outing in L.A.
If you’re not so sure about leather, or aren’t yet willing to spend on the costly material, latex pants are also an option. During her performance at Glastonbury in June 2019, Miley Cyrus paired latex trousers with Versace thigh-high boots and a statement Gucci belt, culminating in an elevated take on rocker-chic.
