Salvador Dali Gets First Exhibition In The Middle East

The show kicked off with a special preview that saw an intimate crowd marvelling at the works of the Surrealist art master

Step inside the whimsical world of Dali as the first Middle Eastern exhibition charting works of the Spanish Surrealist artist recently opened with a special preview for a discerning crowd of art enthusiasts in Dubai.

Curated by the UAE-based art and cultural development company Alpha Soul and sponsored by Emirates NBD, Salvador Dali. The Memories was greatly enjoyed by an intimate group of guests, who feasted their eyes on the art master’s exceptional body of work.

The show has been curated by Dilyara Kamenova, CEO and founder of Alpha Soul, and Nicolas Descharnes, master on the life and works of Dali and whose father Robert was the artist’s close affiliate and photographer. On view are 50 photographs, 100 lithographs, a painting, and 360-degree virtual reality experience that give a fuller sense of Dali – both the man and the artist.

Those who attended enjoyed a live musical performance and mocktails, as Kamenova and Descharnes spoke about why they felt it was important to bring Dali’s compelling mix of works to the Middle East.
