Everything That Went Down At Kylie Jenner’s 22nd Birthday
From a superyacht to a feathered Oscar de la Renta gown, it looked like a night to remember…
If we know one thing about the youngest Kardashian-Jenner, it’s that she never misses a chance to celebrate in style. The social media star often makes headlines for throwing a lavish party – be it staging a theme park for her daughter Stormi Webster’s first birthday, or a Barbie-themed extravaganza for her own 21st birthday festivities. And Kylie’s birthday celebration marking her 22nd year on Saturday was no exception; it was nothing less than what you’d expect from one of the world’s youngest billionaires.
BAZAAR’s August cover star was spotted aboard a $250-million (approx. Dhs918 million) superyacht, named available for hire at a cost of over $1 million (approx. Dhs3.7 million) a week. Tranquility, as the yacht is named, accomodates 22 guests and boasts a cinema, gym, spa, swimming pool, helipad and, probably most importantly for her 143 million Instagram followers, WiFi. And, of course, she wasn’t cruising just anywhere. She jetted to Italy, travelling along the Amalfi Coast to the scenic island of Capri.
And as is often the case with the Kardashian-Jenner clan, it was a family affair. Kylie’s mom(ager) and fellow BAZAAR cover star Kris joined her daughter on board the luxurious vessel, alongside Kylie’s daughter Stormi and her boyfriend Travis Scott. Kylie’s famous friends Sofia Richie and Scott Disick, as well as her longtime best pal Anastasia Karanikolaou (AKA Stassie), also landed an invite. The beauty mogul donned a white feathered Oscar de la Renta wedding gown for the occasion, which looked straight out of a fairytale.
The reality star’s birthday was inevitably going to mean some pretty lavish gifts, but seriously…what do you buy Kylie Jenner? Travis Scott, it seems, hit the nail on the head. She took to Instagram to share a snap of the glittering diamond necklace he gifted her, with a pendant in the shape of the Kylie Cosmetics logo. The extravagant birthday present follows Scott’s romantic gesture days earlier, when he filled her LA home with rose petals and left not only Kylie, but the whole Internet, shook.
We’re still a little jealous that we didn’t make the guest list, but we’re holding out hope for next year…
