One of the grandest Indian weddings of the year is taking place this weekend as the youngest of billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s children is set to get married and celebrations are in full force.
Pop icon Rihanna added her flare to the festivities that are happening currently in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and performed for the bride and groom – Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Her presence at the event has been a major highlight, with her videos of the performance being shared across the internet.
The 36-year-old singer sang some of her greatest hits, such as Rude Boy and Diamonds.
Rihanna, who chose a sparkly fluorescent green and pink outfit for the concert, took time on the stage to address the bride and groom. “Thank you for having me here, God bless your union, I wish you all the best, congratulations,” the songstress was heard saying in a video.
She also interacted with the many distinguished guests present at the festivities. In one of the videos circulating online, she was seen shaking a leg with Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor.
The Barbadian artist arrived in Jamnagar on February 29, accompanied by her team, and the group was welcomed with traditional dances.

While the marriage is not until July 12 in Mumbai, a three-day celebration is being held from March 1 until 3.
Just like previous Ambani weddings, the guest list is extensive with the who’s who of the global business and tech landscape.
It includes Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Blackstone chairman Stephen Schwarzman, Disney CEO Bob Iger, Ivanka Trump, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick, Bank of America chairman Brian Thomas Moynihan, Qatar Premier Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Adnoc CEO Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, EL Rothschild chair Lynn Forester de Rothschild, the king and queen of Bhutan, tech investor Yuri Milner and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, among others.
Mark and his wife, Priscilla Chan, posted pictures of their ensembles on Instagram. During one of the occasions, the couple sported matching black outfits and their second look seemed to be for the event titled “A Walk on the Wildside”, for which guests were asked to come in outfits with “jungle fever” in mind.
Bollywood stars, such as Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh were also seen at the venue.
