Bluewaters Dubai provides one of our favourite settings and those sparkling blue vistas are offset to perfection with the funky lush green interior of this London-inspired restaurant that is split over two floors (note it’s adults-only upstairs).
Friday’s Shoreditch brunch kicks off with eggs royal, traditional fish and chips and a selection of soft tacos, before the main event featuring mango and jalapeno glazed chicken (think chicken curry with the meat lightly drizzled with sauce rather than swimming in it) and wild mushroom and truffle gnocchi. To round things off a duo of deserts – chocolate torte and vanilla yoghurt parfait – will satisfy those sweet teeth.
Saturday’s trip to Chelsea gets things started with crumpets and – everyone’s favourite brunch go-to – eggs Benedict. Other plates include tasty octopus chorizo hash alongside pulled beef tacos. For mains, the spiced lamb rack is accompanied by a deliciously refreshing strawberry and avocado salad, plus crispy fries with that all-important truffle aïoli.
The pistachio sponge with coconut sorbet, coconut mousse, burnt lime marshmallow with crystallized roses is worth saving room for.
