A resort that puts the entire family at the heart of all the action

The Escape | One For The Kids: Lapita Hotel & Resort

Theme park lovers, and lovers of themes will most certainly adore a hotel that puts them right at the heart of Dubai’s unique cluster of entertainment, theme, and water parks — and that’s precisely what Lapita Hotel & Resort does.

Just a hop, skip and a jump from Dubai Parks, guests will be forgiven for thinking they had taken a wrong, albeit fortunate turn and arrived on a tropical Polynesian island. While this may not be the case, as the South Pacific-themed resort is located just a 40-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, its statement architecture, lush green landscaping and expansive pathways sprinkled with colourful flowers, is as close as it gets this far from Polynesia.

With a vast variety of 504 rooms, suites and large villas occupying eight buildings dotted around the grounds, all named after Polynesian flowers, the South Pacific theme continues throughout. Thatched roofs, bamboo-lined ceilings, carved tribal pillars, and tropical prints create perfect photo opportunities, while there’s a sense of fun in the five dining venues, with tiki head salt and pepper shakers, and your bill delivered in a mini dugout canoe. All-day dining venue, Kalea, offers a diverse buffet dining experience beneath traditional waka canoes, while a visit to pan-Asian restaurant, Hikina, will transport your taste buds on a rollercoaster of a ride.

Families treating themselves to an extended stay, will enjoy the resort’s lagoon-style pools and lazy river. There are also two kids clubs for children and teens with climbing walls and activities such as henna painting and musical games, while parents can escape to Ola Spa for a Polynesian-style massage, where warm volcanic rock stones, and monoï oil is used as part of the blissful treatment.

Many accommodation packages include unlimited access to Dubai Parks, which is home to Motiongate Dubai, Riverland Dubai, Legoland Dubai, Legoland Water Park, and Bollywood Parks Dubai, while all hotel guests receive Q-Fast access to skip the lines, making this tropical-themed resort one of the best family friendly options in the region.
