Many UAE residents had to leave their vehicles on the streets due to Tuesday’s driving conditions

Drivers in Dubai who were forced to abandon their cars after the country was hit by a severe thunderstorms, which left several roads flooded on Tuesday, have been urged to relocate and move their vehicles.

The civil entity assured residents that the request was made to ensure the public’s wellbeing.

In a statement posted on social media, the Dubai Police wrote: “Attention – Dubai Police urges vehicle owners to promptly relocate their parked vehicles from the streets and roads. We thank all motorists for their cooperation in bolstering traffic safety and security.”

The authority also advised drivers in need of support and assistance to dial 901.

The request comes after severe weather conditions like heavy rain and strong winds lashed the UAE on Tuesday. Many drivers were stuck on the roads and were forced to make a decision to leave their cars.

On Thursday, a UAE government entity declared the end of the unstable weather, saying that the Emirates is in a state of recuperation.

“The Ministry of Interior announces the end of the weather fluctuations and efforts continue to complete the recovery phase,” the authority posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
