Hail in The UAE: Heavy Rain Lashes Ras Al-Khaimah

The country is bracing for “unstable” weather to hit this week as predicted by the NCM

The UAE was hit by more rain this week after the country recently faced a severe thunderstorm on April 16.

Heavy showers and unstable weather conditions are predicted across the Emirates on Thursday and Friday. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued a warning regarding “unstable weather conditions” on May 2, in a statement.

Residents can expect “convective clouds with rainfall of different intensities over scattered areas of the country,” according to the Met Office. Strong winds are also in store, which are expected to cause dust and sand to blow across the UAE.

Earlier this week, hail was reported in some parts of the country, especially the northern and eastern regions.
