Sketch London Unveils A Magical New Festive Experience

The iconic tea house has transformed itself into a winter wonderland to celebrate this year’s Holiday season

London’s iconic art-infused gastro-brasserie, Sketch, has just launched the opening of ‘Christmas Here, There and Everywhere’, an immersive installation as part of the restaurant’s holidays decorations this festive season.

Created in collaboration with over ten leading artistic talents, including master florists and prop makers, the exhibition is divided into four magical immersive installations, each designed to celebrate the diversity of the many Holiday rituals, customs and ancient traditions found all over the world.

The Sketch entrance has been transformed into an enchanting street-like succession of festive scenes taken straight from a fairytale, thanks to the creative visionary and award-winning florist, Carly Rogers, and her team of incredibly gifted prop makers.

Rogers has also re-designed the East Bar and Pods with a dazzling set of fantastical décor, depicting an imaginary scene from a far-away universe wherin a UFO has landed, bringing with it a variety of Holiday traditions from planet Earth. The other-worldly installation features a four-metre wide flying saucer and the sculpture, ‘The Eclipse’ by British artist Balint Bolygo.

Meanwhile, the Glade has been adorned with an ethereal floral installation, designed by Kim Beedie, creative director of London-based interior design company, Figa & Co. Stunning columns of winter leaves and delicate blooms climb upwards in a mesmerising spiral, reminiscent of the first magical fall of snow.

Finally, Ricky Jackson, creative director at Ricky Paul Flowers, has designed a breath-taking Holiday tree that boasts as the dazzling centrepiece for Sketch’s Michelin-starred Lecture Room and Library. Embellished with elegant golden details, the tree echoes the extravagant opulence of the 18th century royal court of Russia, transforming the space into a wonderous world of festive magic.

The ‘Christmas Here, There and Everywhere’ exhibition is open to all members of the public now, and will continue to run until 5 January 2020.
