After a series of rumours surrounding Joe Alwyn and Emma Laird began to arise at the hands of a blind item, Swifties are convinced that the Scottish actress lies at the centre of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn’s sudden break-up. That being said, these rumours are simply a product of fan speculations and neither actor has confirmed them.
Known for her lead role in the Paramount+ drama Mayor of Kingstown, the 24-year-old actor recently announced she was cast in The Brutalist alongside Joe Alywn, Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, and others. The production is currently being filmed in Hungary where the cast and crew are working hard to help bring Brady Corbet’s historical drama to life.
The rumours surrounding the two co-stars began after Emma shared a photo dump on Instagram containing images from the set — captioned “Moments in March ❤️?” — including an image of Joe on an electric scooter.

Titled The Crowded Room, the streaming miniseries will follow characters from Daniel Keyes’ 1981 non-fiction novel The Minds of Billy Milligan. Emma will take on the role of Isabel on the Apple TV+ series as it follows Danny Sullivan, Tom Holland’s troubled protagonist.

A Haunting in Venice, which is currently in its post-production phase, will follow Agatha Christie’s famous detective as he tries to solve yet another murder. Emma will play an unnamed character in the film alongside Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Michelle Yeoh, and others.
