Have your say
Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, both took to social media to announce a new initiative for the UAE. To kick start the new decade, the royals have called on UAE residents and citizens to choose the nation’s brand logo.
Not only will this logo represent the nation’s journey towards the next 50 years, but it will also be used for campaigns and marketing when projecting the Emirates’ image abroad.
We are launching a new brand for the UAE to share the story of our nation with the rest of the world. We invite everyone to be part of choosing the logo that will represent our country for the next 50 years on https://t.co/LphDiHq1Ly. For every vote, we will plant a tree. pic.twitter.com/QoMvpM6BdQ

Our success story is global, the UAE's story stems from our desire to cooperate with others. I invite everyone to take part in choosing the UAE Nation Brand logo that will be the symbol of a nation that strives to be the best in the world within 100 years of its inception. pic.twitter.com/x30VFQq00M

According to Sheikh Mohammed’s tweet, for every vote, a tree will also be planted. Integrating environmental aspects speaks volumes about how the UAE wishes to develop and grow for the next 50 years and become more sustainable.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also states, “I invite everyone to take part in choosing the UAE Nation Brand logo that will be the symbol of a nation that strives to be the best in the world within 100 years of its inception.”
This inclusion of community and concern towards the environment definitely show that the right steps are being taken.
The initiative also reflects the UAE’s humanitarian values that aim to promote the culture of hope.
