Exclusive: A First Look At Jennifer Lopez For Coach Spring 2020
Freshly announced as the new face of Coach, the award-winning actress and singer stuns in her first campaign for house ahead of their Spring 2020 collection
Designed to tell the story of authentic self-expression through the lens of its powerful cast, Coach’s brand new ‘Originals Go Their Own Way’ campaign for Spring 2020 stars none other than newly announced house ambassador, Jennifer Lopez. Her striking appearance makes this her first campaign for the American house of leather since becoming the new face of the brand in November 2019.
As Coach’s home since 1941, the campaign sets foot in New York City, photographed by Juergen Teller and designed to reflect Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ new vision for the house as spontaneous, real and playful. Celebrating of the creative power of authenticity coupled with individuality, the ‘Originals Go Their Own Way’ campaign fully embraces the art of doing things your own way in life, promoting shameless self-expression through unapologetic purpose and style.
“I have a unique history with Coach that dates back to [my single]‘All I Have,’” says Lopez of her new campaign. “It is a brand that embodies the essence of being born and bred in New York and I, of course, deeply relate to that. In all it creates, Coach promotes individuality and optimism in its style as well as a sense of authenticity and inclusion.”
“Like me, we’re both New York originals, who create a unique mix of high-fashion with street edge. With Stuart’s designs and Juergen’s photography, we captured special and unique visual moments for this campaign with the iconic New York City skyline as the perfectly tailored backdrop.”
The ‘Originals Go Their Own Way’ campaign puts the house’s all-new Spring bags on full display, including the new Hutton and Rambler models. The menswear collection sees a chic Pacer Backpack and Belt Bag on show, while the house’s ready-to-wear line is privy to a bold new leather statement, an iconic reference and tribute to Coach’s roots.
